The winning entries in the 2013 Thames Traditional Boat Rally photographic competition have been announced.

Katie Freebody, member of the famous traditional boat building family, won the first prize in ‘The Atmosphere of The Rally’ category, with her picture of the fleet of Dunkirk Little Ships decked out in flags and bunting (above right)..

Bob May of Southampton won ‘The Best Boating Picture’ category and was also selected as overall winner of The Peter Meech Trophy for his ’Vision in Varnish' (left)..

Both win category prizes of £100 of Photobox vouchers and Bob receives The Peter Meech Trophy, originally won by Peter for his work as a professional photographer in the 60s,70s and 80s.

The competition was introduced into this year’s rally for the first time in memory of Peter, who sadly died in June. He was a director and marketing manager of the rally for 11 years.

Runners up were James Hamilton in The Atmosphere of The Rally category and Bob Cremer in the Best Boating Picture category.
