The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh travelled on the 130-year-old restored steamer Alaska during a visit to Henley on Thames on Monday (June 25)

They boarded the vessel at Hambleden Lock for the short journey to a garden party for 4,000 people at Henley Business School as part of the Diamond Jubilee national tour.

At the business school, the royal couple watched a river pageant called Time and The Thames featuring the Acorn Music Theatre Company with a sail past of a variety of Thames boats. Crowds filled both banks of the river.
