A public meeting is being held after new plans for the latest hydro scheme on the river were submitted for local authority approval.

The Teddington and Ham Hydro scheme is currently being considered by planners at Richmond Council. Details of the scheme can be found HERE and you can see an animation HERE

The planning application (details HERE on the council website) is open for public comment until October 13th. It involves demolition of a section of the weir; installation of three archimedean screw turbines, and a new fish and eel pass.

The application follows the successful raising of £150,000 investment from the local community,.

The meeting at the Tamesis Club in Teddington, on Friday October 10th provides an opportunity for the public to discuss the details of the project and ask questions. Like previous meetings on the scheme it is being run as an informal, drop-in session rather than a singular presentation.
